POLITICO is looking for a reporter to cover one of the most complex and consequential policy areas in Europe: health care.
Health policy touches everyone — shaping how Europeans live, age and access care — yet it also sits at the center of some of the bloc’s most sensitive political debates. This beat offers the chance to break news at the intersection of politics, policy and people’s daily lives.
We are looking for a reporter who can drive coverage of topics including access to medicines, the EU’s efforts to become a more attractive place for pharma and biotech innovation, growing public health challenges and the politicization of science, Europe’s role in global health policy and emerging health threats.
The successful candidate will have an eye for detail and a track record of rigorous reporting, source-building and scoops. They will be a team player, with a good understanding of how policy is made and a demonstrated ability to develop sources within the EU, governments, industry organizations and interest groups involved in policy.
This is a full-time role based in our Brussels newsroom.
