Applications are now open for Ny Kollega (New Colleague). This programme is for those who want to work as a journalist in Sweden. Do you have journalistic experience from abroad or a relevant Swedish higher education degree? Do you want to work as a journalist in the future? Then Ny Kollega is for you.

The programme is a collaboration between the Fojo Media Institute, SVT, Sveriges Radio, Schibsted, Bonnier News, and Stampen Media. This year, the programme is open to two different profiles.

• Profile 1: For those with a journalism background from abroad — For those who have studied journalism or worked as a journalist outside Sweden and want to adapt their skills to the Swedish media landscape.
• Profile 2: For those with a Swedish academic background — For those who hold a foreign academic degree (in any subject) and have language skills from abroad. You have not previously worked as a journalist, but have strong drive and want to find a way into the profession.

Ny Kollega is a free training programme that gives participants the opportunity to build a network, develop their journalistic skills, and take the next step into the Swedish media industry.
