Rolling: Environmental Investigative Journalism

This grant programme supports cross-border teams of professional journalists investigating environmental issues connected to Europe. It focuses on illegal, unreported, and unregulated environmental activities affecting European interests, both within and outside Europe. Funded projects must result in publications in at least two media outlets from different countries, including one European outlet. The programme also encourages comparative investigations of local environmental policies across multiple regions.

  • Applicants must submit a clear investigative hypothesis, methodology, and a detailed budget.
  • Funding covers working time and expenses such as logistics, legal support, insurance, and data access, with additional mentoring support available.
