DW Akademie : Qualified Trainers for Specialized News Agency Training

DW Akademie is establishing a pool of qualified trainers to design and deliver specialised training programs for the Syrian Arab News Agency, addressing priority capacity gaps across editorial, technical, managerial and digital media functions. Trainers will work closely with DW Akademie, SANA and other project experts to ensure that all training activities are practical, needs-based and aligned with international journalism standards and adult learning methodologies.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM:

Training assignments may cover one or more of the following thematic areas, depending on project priorities and the trainer’s expertise:

  • Editorial Standards and Journalism Ethics,
  • News Writing and Editing,
  • Television Journalism and Media Appearance,
  • Visual Storytelling and Multimedia Production,
  • Mobile Journalism (MoJo),
  • Photography and Photojournalism,
  • Video Production and Editing,
  • Digital Journalism and Social Media Content Production,
  • Verification and Fact-checking,
  • Public Service Journalism,
  • Conflict-sensitive and Transitional Justice Reporting,
  • Digital Security and Safety for Journalists,
  • Audience Engagement and Community-Centred Journalism,
  • Media Management and Newsroom Leadership, incl. Editorial Planning and Workflows,
  • Responsible Use of Artificial Intelligence in Journalism,
  • Other journalism and media development topics identified during project implementation.
